On 23-24 June 2022, the Institute of Management at the University of Białystok organized the first edition of the International Scientific Conference "Challenges in management in the face of Economy 4.0".
The aim of the International Scientific Conference was to identify research areas in consultation with stakeholders (business, administration, society) and to integrate researchers around them in the face of the challenges of Economy 4.0.
The thematic areas of the international crossectoral Conference were:
- Human capital, competencies of managers and employees of Economy 4.0,
- Innovation, enterprise innovation, open innovation system, technology transfer,
- Value chain transformation and business models in Economy 4.0
- Digital transformation in marketing and sales,
- Development strategies of enterprises, clusters, regions and challenges of Economy 4.0,
- Society's challenges of Economy 4.0,
- Smart city, smart village,
- Network structures - relational competences of the enterprises and relational competences across sectors (business, science, administration).
The Conference in hybrid mode was participated by a total of 170 people representing the world of science, business, administration from Poland and abroad. The Conference could be listened to both live and via online streaming on the YouTube channel of the Institute of Management at the University of Białystok (link to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLd9B2jQyPcAx6YH3LGUnhw ) and in simultaneous translation (Polish-English and English-Polish). Panellists presented 57 presentations during the conference, including a whirlwind session.
In addition, during the Conference, participants as well as residents of the region were able to take advantage of 11 demonstration stands presenting the latest technologies of Industry 4.0 using equipment presented by exhibitors.
In 2024, as the Faculty of Management, we would like to invite all interested persons to participate in the 2nd edition of the Conference "Management in Economy 4.0". The Conference will take place on 11-12 July 2024 in Bialystok.
